简介:The paper presents the results of an on-site measurement carried out in the premises of a telecommunication building toexplore avenues to reduce energy consumption in the building. The results of the study indicate that the building’s fixed electrical loadfor powering landlines, mobile lines, and internet services is about 46% of the total building load. The chillers split A/C units and the airhandling unit account for almost 47% of the power. Lights and other small equipment consume 7% of the total energy supplied to thebuilding. Temperature measurements showed that the air conditioning system in the building was not functioning efficiently resultingin the generation of hot spots in several areas.
