简介：This study aimed to explore EFL learners’ preferences for choosing a partner in pair or small groupactivities. With regard to the climate that these activities provide for the learners, two of the most citedcomments in favor of pair work are as follows: “I feel less anxious while working in a pair” and “I feelcomfortable while I am working in a pair”. These comments support the idea that learners may prefer pair workin that the affective climate in groups of two is more conducive to learning.
